The idea of this section is to showcase the sea life that is available to see in our immediate location. Photos are to be taken by Club members in either Wigtown Bay or Luce Bay. The species, date and location (see chart to the right) of the photo are to be noted and the photographer will be given a credit. More than one photo of any particular species can be submitted but only the best photo † makes it into this section.
You may find this web site helpful in identifying some of the sea life in your photos.
We thought this section would give visitors to this site an idea of what can be seen
in our local waters and give Club members something else to aim for when on Club
dives. Particularly now the Club has a new underwater camera to assist in our Seasearch
project -
Any photos submitted should be sent to Phil with the information mentioned above. Photos should be at least 800x600 pixels. Please don’t send in all your photos, just the ones which you think show a particular specimen well.
